    What exactly is ecu-b's function?

As for the radio im not sure unless its shorted out and constantly pulling power

Wireless remote control, air conditioning, airbag occupant system, garage door opener. Truck doesn't have meter and gauge system or multiplex communication system

Disconnect battery, or pull fuses. Option is to add on board battery charger, and plug truck in if you are going to leave it sitting for a while.

    Are you draining the battery?

How did you take the readings?

That is a total of 1.6 Amp draw with the key out. Either you have a real problem or you are reading the meter wrong.

Start pulling fuses until the parasitic load drops to a somewhat normal level say about 50 to 85 milliamps ( 0.050 - 0.085 amps ) or less. Anything above 85 milliamps is too much.

Thanks for the info. Yes the battery drains down to 8 volts over 3 days. I used a Klein multimeter to get the readings. When the ecu-b the fuse is pulled , everything works but the key fob, right door lock, 4 low engagement. I reset the ECU and everything was fine for about 3 months and then the battery got drained again. Starting to look like a needle in the haystack search!

I just went through this myself . Two brand new batteries over 3 months. Both of the new batteries had bad cells . Glad I had warranty on the batteries . I highly suggest load testing your battery now that it has been drained down a couple times
I purchased a battery load tester and I also purchased a battery disconnect

Now I run a Noco trickle charger when the truck sits just in case a mysterious battery drain decides to show up again .

Thank you that will work, I've also heard of a device which disconnects the battery when it detects an above normal power drain.

I'm having a battery drain issue as well. I also have a leak in the evap system, throws a couple of error codes. Suspect is the leak, maybe reducing the fuel pressure, and the fuel pump kicks on intermittently to bring fuel pressure back up. I may have a bad battery too, just haven't done a load test on it yet.

    Rodent damage possible as well.

Priority start is the name of one brand of battery disconnects: about $112
