Hey guys need your help, my 07 taco is draining my battery everytime i let it sit for more than a few hours like overnight.after waking up to a dead battery I took my battery out when i got work to have it tested and it tested ok! when i got back to work and put it in it started right up so i thought it was fixed but no! next morning it was dead again. It charges when im driving so i know its not the alternator.. i have no aftermarket accesories, only thing i have extra is the factory alarm that came with my truck. I am stumped and dont know what to do

Load test it... Free at most auto parts stores.

It is probably a short in one of the cells draining the battery...

I bought a new interstate battery 6 months ago. I had the battery load tested at autozone and have been checking every possible light interior and exterior to make sure im not leaving any on. The only way i can get away without jumping it off every morning is by taking the negative terminal loose everytime i know its gunna sit for more that a couple of hours.

Yes i do, is that better than a load test?

A capacitive battery tester is the most accurate test of battery health.

Wrong, sorry. A true load test actually pulling current is preferable. A capacitive tester won't show you if the plates jump and short when a load is placed on them. A load test can.

You'll have to do a parasitic draw test. I'm not sure how long you have to wait on our trucks but you'll need to hook up the DMM in series (10 amp setting) and then often wait 20 minutes for everything to reset and go back to sleep. Then you can see if you have an abnormal draw.
