Dude, you should have stayed in and just showed a bit of leg on Ardennes so someone could help you.;)

I'm nowhere near you, but good luck. If it's an immediate need, you might try putting in a battery a bit less than spec to get you through. Try searching the walmart or random car parts place internet sites for inexpensive, but OK spec batteries. Note that you'll have to do some redneck engineering to hold down clamps and wiring. I done to do that with a Dodge-used a spare 1x4 to take up space.

You also may be able to talk to an auto parts place and they could let you go through their core battery turn ins with a tester. I've preventativly replaced my battery twice since 08 and my core turn in still had plenty of life left in it.

You can also check craigslist. if you have the equipment, you can run a quick test on a used battery before putting down the $$$. I've seen used batteries go for what the core charge would be ($10).

Also, ABNFDC has a good idea too: visit your local AutoZone and see if they'll let you check the turn ins. I've done the same thing as he did where I've replaced a good battery with a new one because I didn't want to get stranded out in the woods. I'd replace every 24-36 months and the old battery was still good. About half the time I'd keep the old one and eat the core fee, the other half turn it in for a core.

Just use a credit card so you don't have to pay right away. It's the American way.
