    lol!
My Wallymart battery is going on five years on my T4R, and almost three on the Taco. I do check the water levels and adjust as needed, and trickle charge them every 1-3 months though.

    Maintenance matters

    Cheers

Does your Walmart have an Auto Center? Mine does, I went in at a non-busy time and guy at the counter told me to grab the battery I already knew I wanted off the shelf and I brought it back to the counter. Gave him my keys and they drove it into the garage and had it installed in less than 20 minutes. $60 plus tax, installed. lol

My last Walmart battery lasted 4 years, the one before that 9 years.

    Here's my accident:

Like I said, I'll be looking at an AGM battery when the time comes.

One of the main Achilles heel of a lead-acid battery leading to a shortened life, is movement or bouncing around, so it needs to be firmly installed. Not over-tightened as to deform the case, but it shouldn’t go anywhere. This maybe one of the areas where the AGM shines over the lead-acid type.

Before installation, I trickle charge all my new batteries prior to service and seal around the battery post edges (where it post meets with the plastic case) with RTV sealer to help prevent acid leaks thru microscopic passages.

If the system is charging properly, cleaning the battery post can be greatly reduced or maybe unnecessary. I’ve yet to clean terminals in five years on my oldest five year old $60 Wallymart battery.
