Dealer trip is a waste of time unless you can easily and definitively replicate the problem. They'll respond that they could not replicate the issue. This is one of their favorite replies, second only to "The issue you're experiencing is a normal characteristic of the vehicle"

I do the same at home depot.
The amount of times I've blown up side cutters or wire cutters at work cutting live wires and bringing them back to home depot for warranty (klein tools) its the best haha.

$60 pair of cutters destroyed, get a new pair haha. Had a dime size hole in one from cutting a live wire, told them they chipped meanwhile you can see they were melted. All the people that work their don't have a clue what a blown up pair looks like haha.

exactly why i'm trying to get it on video.

Guess each time I need to move the truck like that I'll just record until I catch it.
I can't drive to the dealer and get it to happen since it will get charged in the drive there so won't have it happen.

I bought a phone charger at Radio Shack on a TDY because I left mine at home. Last day of TDY I went back to return it and the guy totally called me out on it said "They don't call us Rent-a-Shack for nothing".... as he was processing my refund.

Is a battery even covered? I have no idea.
I've been with the same manufacturer too long and everything is covered if you cry enough.

Yes my Denali battery went dead only months before year 3 (warranty expiration) and the dealer replaced it free of charge.

I know all too well about how the dealerships work. The service manager where I go will go out if his way to help me. The service writers always use those quotes. So now I only deal with the manager. He even put a new ECGS Bushing in after the second needle bearing went out with less than 700 miles. No charge. No problems since. Service writer said it was the lca holes. Dumassss..:frusty:

Just quit being paranoid about a barely acknowledgeable slow start because you short cycle to truck. Stop doing that and your problem will cease as well. I swear these forums have fucked up some people into believing they have a problem when they don't. Quit worrying till it fails then have the dealer sort it out for fucks sake

Hey grumpy pants, he should be able to drive ( or not drive ) his truck however the fuck he wants to.
A good battery should give many reliable starts without a slow crank. Should he sound alarm bells? No but he asked a question and I answered based on the information he provided. He probably shouldn't short cycle his truck but you probably shouldn't be a troll either.

Yes let's just not investigate a potential problem. I mean why attempt to mitigate some risk that the truck might leave you stranded somewhere? Ride it out, let it die in the parking lot and call a tow truck to drag it to the dealer so they can keep it for a day or two to fix an issue you might be able to resolve at your own convenience.

Not grumpy there buddy, just so much paranoia and negativity about something so minor. A battery test will solve a lot. Dealer provided or not. I don't have issues with my truck not would I be so overly concerned about a battery and a truck that still starts every time. Yes he can drive it however the fuck he wants as you so eloquently put it. But you do the same thing over and over and expect a different result, well you should know the rest

I recommended a battery test multiple times. True.
