Yup, mine crapped-out on my 2016 yesterday - 3.5 years and just hit 31K miles. The OEM ones are junk.

The original battery in my '16 is still going.

I just replaced my OEM battery, almost 7 years. I've had them last 10 years or 2 days. Del Taco sucks! :p Taco Viva!

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Just replaced my battery yesterday at Costco $96 out the door for those who may need one. Interstate lasted 7.5 years. Passed voltage test but failed under a load at Autozone. Group 24F. Its that time of year.

Side note. Prior battery had a 5 year warranty but less CCA, new one has 3 year warranty but more CCA. I asked the rep in Costco auto and they said it was due to labeling changes. They can no longer state 5 year warranty? True or BS?

:argue:My battery crapped out on a Sunday which of course Toyota Service is off like chic-fil-a. Took this post advice and brought it to Costco and immediately got help and swapped for a new one.
Called in on Monday To get a reimbursement and they said I should have brought it in to the dealer and they would have it taken care of. Now they need the original battery (Costco recycled it by now) and a written reason why it was repaired (need paperwork of why battery is dead from Costco) and send paperwork thru reimbursement section of Toyota care center (which only applies for repairs on “recall” maintenance)...
Bottom line, I’m screwed. should I call other dealers and see what they can do for me??

Look in the Owners Manual and mail the receipt for the battery to the listed address for reimbursement.

You have to be under the 3/36 warranty and not have been able to visit a Dealer.

Down here in FL you just plan on it...3-3.5 years for a battery.

Gotcha, advance auto was having a 20% off deal for online orders so I got a 24F AGM for $170 not too bad
