ok, so the light has stayed off all week, went thru the car wash tonight for the first time, on it came. what could be getting wet to make it do that? there can only be so many wires that have to do with that light that could be getting wet...

by going through a car wash... shouldn't it not be getting your belts wet, i know that the engine compartment is not waterproof, but that sounds odd to me to begin with

well it like sprays thru my grille and stuff and I'm assuming right onto the belts. it can't be a bad alt or batt if it only does it when wet, and it just flickers. but something obi isn't right.

What is with the "it checks out fine" when there's an obvious thing like an idiot light? It should be more like, "we didn't find anything obvious, need to research further". Oh but wait, that'd require spending time to make a customer happy rather than just making money.

Thats how they all operate. I just had fun with local dealership which could not get my valet key right. Needless to say I have bunch of master keys and only one valet :) I guess grey vs black is too hard to grasp.

I am not exactly sure on the taco but on every other auto I have had its 2 bolts and a wire connection? 2 minutes at the auto part store and you will know if it is good bad.
