I work for Carquest Autoparts, our house label batteries are made by Deka (East Penn). We have very few issues out of them. I have had one in my truck for a little over three years now. I run the radio (300w amp, sub, all after market speakers) I also have additional lights and winch on my truck. The battry has held up very well.

I did recently decide to upgrad though. I got an Exide 78DTXCD, it's AGM/orbital, deep cycle/cranking battery with 750CCA and 100 res. cap. I was afraid of spending the money on an Optima because I have heard bad things about them recently, not being the battery they once were.

when I was young my uncle always told me not to put batteries on concrete. I’ve always called BS on that - is there really some truth to it?
