Id suggest checking out the Northstar AGM mentioned earlier, it is not a Marine battery, it is a high performance automotive USA made AGM. The CCA is substantially higher than lead acid (unlike your example), along with reserve capacity, the life is longer than lead acid and it is maintenance free unlike lead acid. How many people actually monitor their battery fluid levels in lead acid and top it off?

I check levels every 6 months. I personally found that my truck hardly fluctuates at all, but the deep cycles on my camper needed a minor top off about once a year.

The AGMs are a quality battery, if one has a need for it. There's a tiny weight penalty compared to flooded cell, and of course they are pricier. But for people who run a heavier load than what the alternator can offset, you're right, they are worth looking into. I honestly never thought of AGM, because they never fit my needs. But I'm not everyone.

I almost went AGM for the camper. Almost. I was looking into a pair of 6V cart batteries versus an equivalent bank of LiFePO4. The only thing that stopped me from going AGM was the weight: 100 pounds for the pair versus 25 for the lithium. The batteries mount on the trailer tongue. So in that case, it was spend the extra hundred and buy lithium.

For my truck: I have a number of accessories but I don't power any without the engine turning, and none will overwhelm the recharge. OEM battery is still going strong on a 4 year old truck, and the eventual replacement will probably be another flooded cell. Glass mats are definitely a solid choice for those who need them, but for me the ROI isn't there.

Mine just died just shy of 5 years. Toyota Hawaii, Hilo don’t carry OEM, it’s interstate, which is crap, the dealer here told me it’s all recycled batteries in new covers now…..
Went with Napa legend, 3yr replace, 5 prorated but should last longer and was cheaper than interstate from dealer 1yr replace.

I ended up getting the AAA battery, with a AAA discount, finding a 25 dollar visa gift card and the core deposit…it came to 183 bucks.

Twice a year for vehicles and OPE.

At my work I had many deep cycle batteries, they were checked/topped up every 2 or 4 weeks depending on application. With only a few minutes care per month the batteries had long service lives.

The factory battery out of my 2020 started leaking and caused corrosion on my terminals. But it was from rock crawling and being vertical so now I’m looking for a battery that won’t leak.

I have used AutoZone or Advance branded AGM's in 2 trucks now. They are all made by Johnson Controls, but cheaper then a Northstar, etc and you can get one, or get a replacement, in nearly every town in the US.

I got a 24F (stock size) but it provides a bump on all the categories. I run a winch, a WeBoost on a 3a circuit, and a 15a circuit that can run my fridge and recharge my Jackery at the same time. Have not had any issues.

Most batteries are made by a handful of manufacturers in North America. They just build to spec and slap on customers label. My suggestion is get the cheapest with the best warranty. I also suggest AGM which usually has higher amperage and cold crank. Also less corrosion on terminals and no liquid to spill.

I'd go with the best warranty! Costco and Walmart gets my vote!

Those fancy, more expensive ones do not last any longer, nor give you better value.

Antigravity lithium battery. Pricey but it does crank the engine like a strongman starting a lawnmower

I don't even screw around anymore choosing what battery to buy after having many different names over the years. Just go with a deka and be done with it. My last 2 were good for 10 years. Last one was still in the truck at 10 years when i sold it.
