I bought a AutoCraft Gold battery with Power Frame Grid Technology from Advance Auto Parts in 2014 - it's no longer available so since it's lasted 8 years I’d like to know what you would recommend now with Power Frame Grid Technology. Thanks for any replies, suggestion and or recommendations.

    PowerFrame is a trademark name.
I think the guys AdvanceAuto need to read the product description of the Diehard GOLD batteries.;)

May I suggest a Diehard Gold?

Impressive. Maybe that's the way to go - If it's easy for you - any spec's or info. Thanks.

That seems uncommon. The stock OEM batteries tend to fail after only a few years. Mine died at 3 years. Pretty disappointing for a Toyota product, and actually the only disappointing thing I’ve ever had to say on the truck.

Lol the average lifespan of a battery here in South Texas is 3 years, doesn't seem to matter what brand they are the heat kills them pretty quick.

I think just about all the batteries made in the last 5 years are WORSE.
Maybe mine went 8 years because my truck is basic?
The last battery I bought went almost 7 years.

But, since then, I’ve replaced multiple other batteries in the same vehicle in 3-4 years.
I don’t know what is going on?

I swapped out the OEM unit after it failed for something significantly better.

Got OEM from dealer. Said dealer in a snow state gave me a giant OEM battery bigger than what the truck came with. Parts guy told me it’s all they choose to sell for it because it’s bigger, better, stronger, lasts longer, and handles the weather better of where I used to live. no issues so far

Replaced my original True Start 27F with another True Start - 84 month (2 yr free replacement)warranty, after 7 years. Was still going strong. Put it in my Tundra until my dealer gave me another 10% off on another one for my Tundra. This is only the 3rd True Start battery in my 16 yr old Tundra (27F). The debate will continue, but, I think True Start batteries are the equal of ANY lead acid battery being sold today. Although the prices have increased over the past year (thanks Joe), at a 150 bucks for a 84 month, 27F, battery seems like value to me.

I have an Exide from Home Depot.

Been going strong for 6+ years now & reasonably priced.

    I paid like $99, I think they're $109, now :)

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

These are pricey but are excellent batteries.

Get the Walmart brand one. They are made by Johnson controls, good brand and last a long time for the price.

    3rd Gen here….

Here in the United States of Florida its just common to know your standard battery is only typically going to make it maybe 3 years with our climate and that’s been about right for just about all vehicles I’ve owned prior…I’m now beyond 4 on the factory battery and it isn’t even flinching…another OEM battery will be onboard when it eventually does, especially for its pretty decent price.

If you have access to Costco, buy the battery from them. Our local Costco carries Interstate batteries at the best price I could find of any local comparable battery. Good luck!

There are dozens of batterie names and only 3 major manufacturers of flooded cell batteries in the entire country they are all rebranded. If you have 5 batteries in front of you pick them up one at a time buy the heavy one.
