It was between this one and Odyssey and I chose Odyssey as I wanted it sooner than later.

You should put it on the list anywho, seeing as the Group 65 has some awesome CCA's and it is dimensionally smaller than a Group 31.

Ahh see, that I did not know.

I looked at the specs on it before. It was very close in comparison to the Odyssey AGM but the Odyssey was a couple tenths smaller and it was heavier coming in at 58lbs so I went with it because it would fit my battery box better than the Northstar. Plus I picked up the battery for $229.

It's too late though, battery is on it'sway and the damage (on the wallet) is done. :)

Good stuff man! This one just came into my hands at the right time and I was in a rush to find a replacement. Unfortunately that's just the way the cookie crumbled.

Could you share a few more pictures of how exactly you mounted the battery. I am looking at doing this too since I am going to lift about 1.5 more inches in the front plus go to 33's which will add another inch of height for a total of 2.5". Makes sense I try and lower the CG a bit at the same time and the battery is the heaviest, highest chunk of mass that can be easily relocated. This was the obvious location to me too except when I do it I think I'll put the battery in an enclosure. Anyways, I'd appreciate pictures of your mount for ideas!

I know this is a super old thread, so I apologize. I'm doing something very similar for various reasons, including that the sheet metal in the stock location is totally destroyed.

I thought I had everything figured out with a 200A breaker and all of that, but then I realized that I have a winch that can draw up to 450A, which would trip the breaker immediately. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do about this? Really really appreciate any insight!

    Thanks!!
