Did your factory battery last 8 years? If so, that might make a case for getting another Toyota True Start from your dealer.

Walmart Maxx 24F. Have Walmart batteries in all three of my vehicles and they perform fine.

Just replaced my Truestart from Toyota almost 9yrs. It hadn’t died. It was a little slow start in the recent cold. Was turned off by the dealer $210 battery + $65 install. Got a 3year Diehard gold for $210 installed.

I normally just buy Oreilly brand top or 2nd from top tier. I have a shop account w/ them so battery prices are still pretty reasonable, if they have it listed for 200, i typically pay 130. :) I get right around 4 years out their stuff.

Here is the deal there are basically only 3 battery manufactures in the US. There are dozens of renamed batteries. If you are shopping for batteries pick them up, buy the heavyest one that will fit your truck. The one in my 2011 is 9 years old.

One can never have too many light bars.
Costco carries Interstate regular and AGM batteries for great prices.

I concur with WMart NeverStart. Forget about AGM they weigh more and cost more and
for my money are not worth it. Then again I replace my batteries every 2 years regardless.

Wally World Everstart Maxx is the best battery deal out there. And remember that there is a fucking Walmart in just about every town in America in case you need to do a warranty claim.

Dozens of not hundreds of threads about batteries.
Just get the cheapest lead acid from a reputable bog box retailer.
    Forget agm.
Install it yourself if you have tools and basic skills.
    Easy to do.

Stock Toyota battery lasted 3 years. Replacement Toyota True Start lasted 3 years. This time went with a Deka sealed battery.

Duracell - Sam's Club has them, IDK if they are exclusive.

You really just have to look at the sticker, just about every brand has the manufacturers name in smaller letters down at the bottom.

Batteries Plus, O'Reilly's, Car Quest, MK have all had EP built batteries in the past. With house brand batteries you don't know how long the contract runs of if it gets renewed.

According to my reading some of the Wal-Mart batteries if they have a serial number beginning with EP.

    Try this too:

Had to comment about your two year replacement. Wow! That's some money going out. Or are all of yours "warranty replacements"?

I typically get 10 years out of a battery. I maintain them (kept clean, corrosion free, and add water when needed, etc.) but will say that my wife's truck just failed at 4 years. She left the fog lights on over the coldest weekend so far this winter. Her replacement batt was made in Mexico.

My Taco's batt is at eight years and still working swell. Original 2017 OEM.
