Battery suggestion for my 2017 4x4

    You can't really compare the batteries from 10 years ago. 11 years ago the last primary lead smelter in the USA was shut down by the EPA, thus we don't have domestically produced virgin lead any more. We do have some secondary smelters to recycle lead. Not all the lead are the same.

    But whatever you can afford and available if you need warranty. There are fewer than a handful of actual automotive battery manufactures out there, not big difference.

    Toyota owns Panasonic automotive battery products, but they don't ship them here. The Toyota batteries you got from the dealer were made by someone else.

    2018 TRD OR. Purchased used in 10/2021. After some slow starts on cold mornings, it was time. Original battery... Went to local auto parts store and picked up a *higher* capacity 24F w/ 3 year warranty for $210. It's not worth getting stuck over. Don't over think it. Just change it.
