Costco Interstate batteries have been the best value. I've tried optima's, die hard platinum, and odyssey batteries, and they all have died just beyond their warranties. I figure, why spend $300 for a battery that only lasts 4 years when I can go to Costco and pay $85 for the same battery life.

I've never had an AGM fail in under 6 years. Most gave me 8 to 11 years. I've had close to a dozen AGM's.

Are you topping off your AGMs every month with a battery tender? I am thinking of converting over - especially if I can get 8-11 years out of it.

No top off. I've had the Walmart AGM in the Tacoma since 1 week old (20 months). It measures full after engine shut off. 12.9~13.1 depending on the time of year.

Idk. It must be the weather here in the SoCal desert. Summers being 110 *F and winters around freezing could just be pushing the battery too hard with the temperature swings and constant heat. Even in my work truck, 2002 GMC Sierra 1500, automotive batteries don't last much longer beyond their warranty so I stick to the best value (cost vs. Quality vs. Customer service) battery I can which is the Costco Interstate.

I’m on my third in under three years. Has left me stranded each time. Once In summer others in winter. Just happens. They aren’t good in cold if truck sits more than two days. I have nothing else but the truck connected to the battery. They’re junk. Warrantied them all. Fwiw they have a lower cca than the battery in my girlfriends civic.
