Battery terminal for 3rd gen

Been seeing a lot of people replacing their battery terminals of 3rd gen Tacomas. Just wondering what the point is? More spots to add wires for Aux lighting, compressors, etc…?

 

Pretty much. It's a safe way to add more connections straight to your terminal. I prefer these ones.

I have these as well...super annoyed they doubled their price and made the compression lug an option.

 

Agreed. Part of it is those stupid covers. They offered them separately and when they realized no one was buying them, they forced you to buy them by rolling them into a package deal. I was fortunate enough to buy the terminals a couple of years ago and only paid like $70.
