For the life of me I cannot find a battery tray for a 27F battery. I know they are common and i know they exist but can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

PS 3rd gen guy so don't hate ;)

Not exactly. On the 2nd gen Tacos, there are 2 choices for a battery tray(cheap plastic pan). They list 1 for W/cold spec and one for WO/cold spec. I don't know about "cold spec", but it's common knowledge that the tow package got the 27F and without the tow package got a 24F. For 2nd gens, W/cold spec, tray is $35 and WO/cold spec, tray is $31. For 3rd gens, they only list the $31 cheap plastic pan.

If you're looking to upgrade the electrical system, I would go with an aftermarket metal battery tray.

On second gens the 24f tray is the same as the 27f tray. I have a 2011 without the tow package that came with the 24f. I just bought a 27f battery and it fits perfectly in the stock non-tow package 24f tray. It is plastic, 8 years old, and better condition than the surrounding metal.

OP, what did you end up with? I just squashed a 27F into the stock 24F tray. Could have sworn all my googling indicated the TRD OR with tow package came with a 27F. Ordered it and they drove across town to transfer it for me and I get there and realize I have a 24F.

I wonder if when they made the tow package standard, the dropped the battery size.

About to get a battery on Sunday. So did the 27F fit in your 3rd gen no issues? Or am i reading incorrectly?

It fit okay with regards to clearances and all, it was larger than the existing plastic tray.... which I just squashed a little. I then ordered the OEM tray for the 2nd Gen and it works just fine. Let me know if you need a link.
