Well, all my projects seem to snowball. I pulled my battery to fix my shitty battery cable mess that I had inherited. After pulling the battery I found a new issue. Rusted tray/ mount.

As found, shitty Terminals and messed up cables.

Scrubby Scrub with some Simple Green, wire brush, Scotch Bright Pad.

Then fully coated inside and out with Loctite Rust Converter. Normally I would just Prime, but all the nooks and cranny’s are too hard to get. I bent some small brushes to fully get inside the box area.

After priming, I used some color match Dupli Color paint and added a few coats.

After that, I cleaned up the battery, added a new lead to the negative cable, and installed the new “Toyota” style terminals. I also cleaned up and added some Semi-Gloss to the battery hold downs. I also made a new fender ground.

Someone, at some point disrespected this truck and added Green Coolant. So I flushed it and refilled with Toyota Pink Stuff.
