    does anybody know if the battery can be upsized on 3rd gen Tacomas without any modifications? TIA!

    You can put a 27F, it will fit and sit correctly on a battery tray from a 2nd Gen with tow package.

    But note that the larger 27 battery rarely gives you more CCA’s, it mostly gives you more reserve minutes, and more weight.

    Hind sight for me is to go to an AGM sealed so I stop shaking the lead acid to death. I'm sure my last battery was short lived because of daily service roads going way too fast.

    24F is all anyone really needs 750 CCA is a boat load.
