Battery works

Should I be concerned and replace this part? I try cleaning it with soda hahaha. That raw copper is something I’m not sure about .

Wire brush. Re use it. After installed blast some fluid film over it

 

New ones are cheap and easy to install.

 

If it’s cheap replace it .

Is this from your 2019? If the battery is corroding that bad I would try and get it covered under warranty. Have a pic of how it was sitting on the battery before you removed it?

 

Put it back on the cable, mount it to the battery post. Schmear a bit of die electric grease on the post and on the connector.

BTW, the copper isn't "raw". It has just lost it's plating.

"Raw copper" needs to be smelted from ore.

I did have some grease on my battery!

 

Hey....I was working on my truck today.....had grease on my hands......doesn't mean the grease was in right place.

 

nahh it was a good amount sitting on my battery hahaha, I wiped it off

Gotta remove all my extra lights that hook up to my battery before they blame it on that HAHAHA

to be on the safe side I would replace the terminals, replace the battery, replace the alternator, replace the serpentine belt
