Add me DRTY_OCTOPUS for ps4. Mostly play cod multiplayer and blackout. Acconasioanlly apex.

 

Man Apex is just so good. It blows me away they got so many things right.

There's still some tweaking to be done, though. I still feel like some legends and weapons are considerably more powerful than others, but each has their own niche.

 

I agree, I'm ready for the battle pass to come out and new legends. I go back and forth between apex and blackout right now....completely different games.

 

I agree! I just hope they keep things consistent. IMO Fortnite went downhill when they started adding in so many things. The game just felt like it turned into one big sandbox test pit. I think part of what makes Apex special is the limited number of loot which keeps balance pretty consistent. If they go the Fortnite route and start adding traps, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, vehicles, etc. balance shifts and it's not always for the better.

So far I can't commend these devs enough. Their state of the game post last week showed they have an excellent design philosophy so I hope they maintain that instead of listening to reddit/twitch crybabies.

 

100%. I think so far they are doing things just right. They learned by watching. I would've bet another BR game wouldn't have had this success or even been any good especially at the time they released, but here they are, killing it.

It looks like, in true Battlefield form, there will be a whole lot/way too much going on in the match. I don't think that's a good avenue for BR. I really enjoy Battlefield matches with tons of people, a huge map and multiple objectives, but I don't think it will bode well for this style of game. But what the hell do I know? Apex has spoiled me with the revive ability after you're completely dead. Seems like all games have the option to revive if you are downed, but it's nice to be able to jump back into the fight if your team plays as they should and recovers your beacon.

 

Agreed 100%. I love blackout but the ease and quickness of eliminating somebody that's down makes the game not fun. People thirst so quickly it's annoying and there is no way back into the game.

 

What do you play on? I've got BO4, but could never quite get into the BR mode. Maybe I need to try it again.

 

Ps4. I honestly havent added anybody on here because I usually have too many friends to play with so I feel bad telling people no lol. But feel free to add me if you'd like.

PUBG PC is up and running if any of you guys play the PC version. Got about 6 games in yesterday. Boy this is a challenge compared to Apex. Love the gunplay though, much more tactical.

 

COD Blackout gets a big update today to the map.
