LOL. I hopped on for a quick game before lunch and ended up Champion on Apex. Our team was amaze balls. I'm thinking they tweaked the Prowler since I played with it last, the spread made it feel better balanced than the R99 especially at mid-close distance.

 

Might be time to fire up Apex again bois.

ok, that actually looks pretty good. I don't know what really ever turned me off of Apex. I think the ease of success I had early on, and the lack of changes/updates to anything....plus Blackout being really freaking good as a BR...

 

The lack of updates is what did it for me. Over half of the loot on the ground was garbage and every firefight was the same. I'm actually on a CSGO kick right now, but I'll definitely fire Apex back up when S2 drops.

 

yesss, it did feel like the EXACT same thing every time you played. someone who agrees lol. and season 1 was such a LETDOWN. goodness. I may give it a chance but don't have my hopes up.

 

So if you made it far enough in the battlepass (level 86 I think) you earned enough Apex coins to be able to buy the next pass. Talk about a CHORE. If they hadn't done the double XP event a few weeks ago there's no way I would've made it.

It does sound like they're shaking up the meta here. There's new hop ups that buff early game weapons, some of the worst areas of the map have been redesigned, there's now a ranked mode, and they've stated there's no more badges/emblems as season pass level rewards. We'll see in a few days.

 

I didn't even buy the first pass...no way I would've ever made it that far...

I have a 2-month-old, so I haven't had any time for games as of late. I've been seriously itching to play some though. I used to grind Apex, PUBG, and Blackout for the longest time. I think it's about time........Daddy's ready to murk some foos!

I know it's not a BR, but are any of you guys playing Escape from Tarkov? It's pretty much DayZ levels of simulation meets PUBG levels of movement and combat. I've gotten completely consumed by it this past week.

 

I've kind of dropped out of the PvP stuff for now. I'll still grab a game of CS or Apex occasionally, I haven't fired up PUBG in forever, but with some pretty fun single player and PvE games out I just don't find the draw lately especially since most of my friends have stopped playing as well.

I highly recommend the Xbox/PC Game Pass if you haven't checked it out yet. I took a 3 month hiatus from PvP and played Gears of War 4/5, Blair Witch, Hellblade, Tomb Raider, DOOM, Metro LL, and Halo Reach. It's $5 a month, but they have a deal where your first 3 months only cost $1.

I have a six month free pass from all the hardware I buy. I've been using it a bit but right now I mostly play Remnant from the Ashes and Mechwarrior which aren't on there lol.
