I had a moment where I suddenly look down and my hand is covered in blood. Over the next few minutes I began looking around to see just how much stuff is covered in drops of blood, and another few minutes to discover the actual source of the blood on my hand.

I have the bad habit of trying to catch anything I drop with my foot, even when my jack rolled off the bench. Luckily vans are about as thick as a sock, so it only broke my foot a little bit.

I was welding my roll cage on the ceiling inside the cab while sitting in the passenger seat and had the spatter land on my lap, melt through my jeans, through my synthetic long johns, and melt into the skin of my personal parts. Literally dug a piece of once-molten metal out of my skin.

I’ve had plenty of knuckle busters, blood blisters, and smashed fingers but this was another level.

I can't even begin to tell you the injuries I've had turning wrenches for a living. Worst and funniest was where I got stopped to chat about something then one of thenother techs ended up raising the truck that was right beside me thus aligning the hitch with my head. Wearing a hat and not realizing this when I turned around I slammed right into it temple first and laid myself out on the ground. It was actually pretty hilarious. We all had a pretty good laugh about it.

I didn't get that feeling after having mine scraped and drilled. But you can ask my eye doctor she threatens to put me under and strap me to the table because I am so chicken shit about having it done. I can't even with eye drops

Had a 72' Plymouth Duster once ... Had the 'Torsion Bar' suspension on it. Prob with those is, after so many years, where the torsion bar fit through the lower K-Frame and the lower A-Arm ... It gets rounded-out and no way to keep a proper wheel alignment.
So, I was at the 'Pick-A-Part' junkyard one day getting 'new' A-Arms. Had to bust the ball joints loose with a pickle-fork and a 3 lb. sledge. Took a swing and missed.
Smashed my left thumb up into hamburger. I found a filthy rag in the back of another car to wrap my thumb up and kept going, because I NEEDED THAT PART. (I'm still surprised I didn't get a horrible infection..)
I'll spare you the pic, but let's just say, my thumb never ever grew back normal. It 'works' but ... Yeah, you don't wanna really look at it .. LOL!

Cut myself on the webbing between my thumb and fore finger once helping a racing buddy change a front sway bar. That was fun. Opened up every time I moved my hand wrong for a week and a half.

Two days later I cut the same spot on the opposite hand at work doing brakes on a Mustang.

Changing out a stuck uca bolt resulted in a wrench to the face and two chipped teeth.

Then had a cut off wheel explode and go from my calf muscle to my inner thigh while cutting off a stuck d ring in the bed.

Yeah, and it's going to leave some nasty scars. Oh well.
I couldn't tell you. It happened so damn fast.
I had a face shield, safety glasses, ear pro, heavy jeans, boots, all the normal PPE, but that doesn't matter much for a grinder.

One of the most critical and sensitive parts of the body and you suggest putting milk on it.

Eye injury, see a doctor asap. Think it’s not all that important. Try patching both eye for several day. Then think about it again.
