Bay Area Air Quality Management wants me to sell my Tacoma for $1000.00

    The point being it works in some people’s favors. The letter even says disregard if the car is valuable to you.

    The other day I got a post card from the Mojave Air Quality district which is in the High Desert of Socal ( Victor Valley area) . With the same message to donate my cars and receive $1k per vehicle credit

    The CA state run buy back program requires a smog check, but it doesn't matter if you pass or fail. The letter from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District requires a passing smog check but only if you are within 60 days of needing one (like for registration). I guess they just came up with different requirements for each program.
