My schedule has cleared up so I now have time to build these. Here are some high level cost estimates:

    • Shop grade 3/4" plywood ~$100/sheet. Depending on the size of the project you'll need 2-3 sheets. I use shop grade because it has little to no gaps between the layers, 2 good sides, is actually 3/4" thick, and are slightly larger than 4'x8' which limits cut loss when needing 2' or 4' pieces. This generally can not be purchased and big box store.
    • Long heavy duty slides are ~$150 to $275 a set depending on length, load rating, locking mechanism, etc.
    • Misc. Materials (glue, nails, screws, handles, pulls, latches, etc.) $20-$100 depending on needs. Most of that is any needed/desired handle or latch hardware.
    • Labor $100-$400 depending on the size of the project. This includes design, build, wear & tear on equipment. Does not include painting and/or carpeting.
    • Time lines are currently 2-4 weeks, again depending on the complexity of the project. The design process usually takes a few days with some back and forth to define requirements and scope.
I don't not add cost to materials if I purchase for the project and am happy to have customers purchase items on their own.

Hope this adds some clarity to the process and costs.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
@rpowell25 I am back in the Bay Area and am itching to get something done. I'll be in touch over the next couple of months after I get my GFC!
