I’ve seen a few nice looking rigs driving around. Just look for a dirty ass white 4Runner with a dorkel and gobi ladder

I might be down to cruise with this sunday on a day trip for some snow wheeling. Depends on how Saturday goes.

    You driving up from Pacifica?

    How was it?

I heard Frank Raines is all hill climbs and no trail markings.

There's a good amount to explore out there. There are some hill climbs, but there are plenty of other areas that aren't.
Although yea there aren't really any trail markings. And the map doesn't really help much either.
I'd recommend checking it out though

Yea pretty much. Poorly marked. There were some good trails though. And a bit of mud to mess around in. Couple trails looked like fun but I passed on em since I was alone. And some of those trails go from zero to 100 in the blink of an eye so you gota be a little careful... All in all a great time, better with friends. I'd go back, for sure. 20200126_100850.jpg 20200125_164111.jpg

A few buddies and I were planning on heading out East to camp and wheel. Still haven’t decided on a specific spot due to all the closures everywhere.

Any suggestions? We’d be down to meet up as well.

yeah all the trails are pretty much closed up there but able to snow wheel on unplowed roads.

I’ve camped on MET before and it’s a great place if you go far enough and a little away from the main road. Airport flats over by the rubicon is another good place.

have you guys snow wheeled before? How are your rigs set up?

I’d love to join you but right now the last that it snowed was last Sunday. I’m willing to go again you until it snows. It’s hard wheeling in Ice.
I’ll keep you posted on another wheeling trip on this thread.
Was thinking of a trip Out to Death Valley ,3-4 day’er if I don’t get accepted off the waiting list for April’s Cruise Moab.
