It looks like the gears are all like 200 and 250. But do I need install kit too? Or is that something the shop figures into the 250? If you know of a shop I'm all ears. Thinking I wanna do this in the next few months. Possibly.

I think you do need the install kit (make sure you get the correct spline kit), might be worth grabbing the solid spacer while your at it as well.. I remember someone recommended rear end specialties in Santa Clara.

Truck is lookin great bro @bayareataco

^ what he said, any specialty rear end shop will do just fine, just do your research to find a reputable one. Solid pinion spacer and master install kit also.

Thanks dude!! Some major mods coming up this year!

Gotcha, so this is like a $1500 job, unless you get the parts for 50% off lol.

yes, there are also group buys to save money ecgs seems to do them a lot. I bought my front diff used, already geard to 5.29 from ecgs for $250 ready to drop in. The deals are out there you just need to be ready to pounce when they come around.

I second that. They did my regear on my original thirds. Still rocking the same gears in my IFS to this day.

Anyone had any experience with the "rear end shop" in Santa Rosa?

That angle makes it look higher than it is but yes I feel the drag a bit.

So how tall is your rack? from the top of the bed to the top of the rack I mean? I like how yours sits, doesn't block the rear window but still keeps the tent low(ish)

also, any issues with running your 35's? seems our LBJ's hate 35's, but haven't seen you have issues that everyone else has

It is 15" from what you told me to measure, I like that it's lower also! I may possibly be moving on from it though sadly. Moving in a different direction and I'm not sure it will work.

No issues yet, I put brand new oem lbj & otre's along with the unibal uppers when the tires were new. Everything's good!!!

Sorry for the slow response btw. @ebbs15
