I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
With a little math, you could design a box to fit your needs. I drafted up a box in my CAD program here at work to fit my truck. It did the interior volume (air space) calculations for me :)

Here's a quick write up I did a while back on the Boss sub. Still to this day I'm very happy with the results.

It came with 3" wide velcro. I used two strips of the stiffer side and mashed it into the carpeting - doesn't move. Plus I always keep the seat down, so it'll never go anywhere. Makes for a great semi-permanent mount.

As for the remote, its good for tweaking the bass level while driving down the road. You'd never get it right if you had to adjust it on the sub and then jump in and drive. Take freakin forever. Also real handy if you like to change up your music style a lot. I tend to up the bass a tad higher when listening to jazz and less so rocking out. Might have something to do with the volume level. lol!

Extreme Creation makes those door panels I think your talking about. I would do some reasearch on them, think I read some positive and negative things about them.

Yes but at $475 a pair they are far from "budget"

Ahahaha I have a double cab so I didn't read to closely. I would throw that idea right out.

    Murph,
You've inspired me....I've been looking for a solution that takes up no usable room in the cab and I think I can get the 10" model from BOSS under the passengers seat with a little modification. I'm going to do a mock up and test it and I'll report back when I know.

Good luck! I thought the same and took the easier of the two paths. Must be the Irish in me.

I removed the seat tonight and rotated the bar that sticks down in the back of the passenger seat 90 degrees so it's no longer an obstacle, it's basically flat against the underside of the seat now...that gave me another inch of clearance. I then made a mock up of the BOSS BASS1200 dimensions using cardboard and it fit....until I tried to move the seat back.

I looked at the seat again and I have two options for the extra 1/4" to 1/2" of clearance I need to feel comfortable.
#1 - Modify the front underside of the seat - Doesn't look too bad, but not my first choice
#2 - While I have the carpet out deadening the floor and back wall remove some of the factory "padding" under the seat to allow the box to "sink in" a little in combination with screwing it down to the floor.

I'm going to try option #2 first...and if it fails then option #1. If neither work then I guess I'm SOL :)

I'm confident enough that i can make it work that I ordered it tonight from Amazon - $164 shipped! Once I get a weekend free to install it I'll let you know how it went.

Hey Murph...where did you pickup the power for the sub? Did you run a dedicated line or tap into something that was already in the cab?

Ran in a line in off the battery. Used the radio switched line to turn it on/off.

You will definitely want to run a dedicated, fused, power wire to any amp setup. None of the stock wiring is capable of carrying that kind of current load safely.

Step bars, billet grill with custom TOYOTA, MB Quart RSI 216 components, Hifonics ZXi 4410, RAAMmat deadened doors/back wall/roof covered with ensolite , 24" Magnaflow muffler, hand polished stock exhaust tip, tinted, OEM TRD Bilstiens all around with 1/4" spacers up front to level it out. Sport wheels added.

OR, make some small spacers as I did to clear the amp. See my install thread for pics. Just aluminum round stock with holes center drilled and cut to length. Longer bolts replace the factory rear bolts. Raised the rear 3/4". Clears no problem now.
