Over the past couple years we have been working on our 1st Gen long travel kit race kit for our truck but the first prototype is done.

    u8e3abym_14b55c524768d09f0db8c115f581b74ca58d9b29.jpg9y8yse7a_00626b113453dd92dcc75904be72d2a1b512853e.jpgu3yhy4ag_2a7ab89f83ddb032650e0d35e94cc186818cd890.jpg

Kit specs: 5.25" over per side, plus a lift spindle. 1.5" lower uniball, 1" vertical uniball, 7/8" Heimed upper arm. 7/8" heimed steering using a stainless clevis. Toyota 4wd hubs and tundra brakes. Kit is capable of 20" of wheel travel. We bumped and strapped ours at 17" of travel to help save the rack and pinion. We are running 3.0 x10 kuster coilovers.

We are looking to introduce the kit to the public. We do want to make some minor changes. Like change hubs to D44 do to availability of new and used parts. Still very strong.

We are looking for someone interested in running the first prototype kit with D44 hubs

Feel free to pm us for further details and price.

Well the kit i picked up is a proven Tacoma kit so i am not too sad. Would take much more time and money then i have already put into my kit.

Kit is made from 1/8"(very minimal), mostly 3/16 and 1/4" plate, tons of internal ribbing. 2"x .250 wall bushing tubes, 1.5" upper arm tube, heavy duty uniball cups, stainless misalignments, 3/4" grade 8 hardware standard, (f911 hardware available for a small additional charge). At the moment we would like to use Dana 44 hubs and snouts over Toyota stuff originally used. Nothing wrong with Toyota hubs but they are a little harder to find new parts for. You can buy all new dana parts even hubs all day long or you can use junkyard parts if on a tighter budget. Snout blocks we are currently using will accept Camburg/BMS hubs. But keep in mind going that route caliper mounts will have to be changed and adds a lot more cost to the kit.

Esb kit is very nice especially for how old they are. Down side is no spindle unless you go with a custom spindle but it can be done.

Wow very nice solid kit for sure. Fab work all around looks great. Very few kits out there with these specs. Reason for current width vs a 3.5 or 4.5 over kit? They seem to be the most popular(or only ones available)

3.5" kits are great for retaining 4wd on a daily driver/weekend warrior truck. Not worried about 4wd, 5.25" allowed us to gain more suspension travel while keeping minimal camber change. We could have squeezed more travel out of the kit but camber change was nasty. Factory racks don't like much over 17" of travel. You can pull 20" of travel but not recommended due to the stress on the rack. Especially with no good upgrade at the moment.

I'm guessing Bonzen, I know he had the jigs for the race kit. I have a little bit of knowledge on the ESB prerunner kit which has a break in the lower arm as a friend ran there kit on his race truck.
