BBQ and bs meet up fiesta island

just confirmed with a fellow member in SD that it is a section..(been there previous years).. which means fiesta island will still be open for people not attending OTL... but just to be sure of it I will be calling them tomorrow to get more details. If not possibly a new date...

 

@Titus94,@AY_ARONTRD thanks for the heads up! I’ve been behind on TW news this past month, which is probably why I had no idea a few of you guys were gonna be at Eibach the other week.

Just got off the phone with fiesta island and they told me yes it will be open to the public but will be very crowded and parking may be difficult. So might have to park and walk to site.. or we can move back a weekend... letting the attending crowd decide

 

Move it back to a non-OTL weekend would be best.

 

Put your vote in... will give it another day or two before I decide what to do...so speak up people.

Awesome! We have a great group of TW members down here who are pretty active. We get together every week or two at local breweries. Also go on trail runs/camp outs pretty regularly.

 

Will be meeting you soon then. I’m out in murrieta but talk to the sd locals. Cool crowd ... says you’ll be out the 8th.. if anything the meet would move to the 7th. Come down one day sooner?

 

Wish I could make it sooner but I can’t. I’m sure I’ll make it to one of the later meet ups though.

 

Hey, I just noticed you have been a TW member since 2009. Wow... one of the early adopters.
Must have done a lot of lurking without many posts since you have such a low post count. Did you have an earlier gen of tacoma before getting your 2018?

Yes! I have had a 1st (2002 SR5), 2nd (2009 TRD OR Prerunner), and 3rd gen (2018 TRD OR 4wd). Almost always lurking as there wasn’t a strong local following in costal NC, and I had a couple jeeps in that time too to pull me from taco-bliss. Looking forward to moving to SD and interacting more. You guys seem pretty chill and I love breweries, trail runs, and camp outs.

 

I know you’re kidding but I have never liked a vehicle as much as my current truck It’s still pretty much stock besides the HID lights I installed. Ordered some pelfreybuilt sliders to pick up after I get there since they are SD local. Small lift, tires... other stuff probably, all in the future. Would love to see what works out there for you guys.

Yeah, the San Diego crowd is pretty chill and it sounds like you'll fit in well (everyone does because, not a lot of judgment from the members ). There is a very active L.A. and O.C. crowd as well. They are all pretty cool too but some of them can be a bit more intense...
