BD Brackets

Hello community,


I’d like to preface with disregard my ignorance if this is obvious.

So, I noticed that some of the Baja Design brackets that came with mounting hardware had this burnt outline on the edges. I know it’s not major but just wanted to check with those that have installed the brackets if you also have this? I went ahead and install them but wanted just to double check.


I’ve attached pic.

 

Just looks like it's part of the plasma cutting process. You can see here where the torch actually touches down and starts/stops each cut.

So, just like throw metal in the tank with it and hope for the best?

 

Do these brackets come unpainted?

 

That thin black line is what u want. I'm pretty sure that's laser cut. High quality stuff. The little nicks in the left hand side are pierce marks, where the laser entered the cut.

 

They’re stainless steel

 

That is normal

It's part of the manufacturing process when the brackets are laser cut

The brackets are stainless steel and can be left unpainted. Although, some customers do paint theirs.
