Question, the BDS lift kit says it comes with 2.5” fox coilovers for the front , I’m just curious where does the remaining 3.5” lift comes from to get that total 6”.

For the rear it comes with fox 2.0 shocks & a 4” block so I’m assuming both of those combined makes it 6” in the rear? I have no idea how lifts work. Sorry for the noob question.

Drop brackets are a somewhat point of no return without serious effort. Wouldn't recommend if you already don't know much.

For the rear, it only gets lifted 4" front goes up 6" so truck sits level.

I believe the 2.5 and 2.0 they are referring to is for the diameter of the shock body.

Thanks, i have been reading but all the info on there seem kinda vague to me i guess. or maybe i read it too fast. but I've came to the conclusion that with the combination of the adjustable coilovers & the drop brackets new mounting points is what gets you the 6" of lift. Could be wrong. just wasn't sure if the DB contributed to that much lift? assuming the coilover contributes 2.5" of it

okay.. i was also thinking that 2.5 may not even have anything to do with the amount of lift but wasn't sure.

Correct, shock diameter (/fluid quantity). Long story short, the drop bracket is moving mounting points around. This magic changes the numbers from what a stock truck would receive.

    Build thread coming soon.
Look real close at what they are saying, You will probably be cutting on cross members to lower the front differential to get it down that low to get a 6" lift in the front.

Edit: The 2.5 and 2.0 are referring to the shock body diameter.

Anyone know where to purchase fox 2.5 rear shocks with reservoirs for a 6” lift?
I’ve got the bds 6” coil over kit on order and want to upgrade the rear shocks to match the front 2.5 with resis.

Ive been looking for Fox or King 2.5 to eliminate top spacer in front for some time now, lead times have been from 15-20 weeks, crazy covid crap perhaps or everybody wants the best. Alot can happen between now and then, good luck hunting.

The remaining 3.5'' come's from a spacer you bolt to the top of front coilover.

You will use a spacer block as said above
Fox and King make what they call “full size coil overs” or something similar to that, that are designed longer to where people with DB lifts don’t need to use blocks. I have heard they don’t change ride enough for how much they are.

Several Offroad shops can help you but I went with Marie at HEADSTRONG OFF-ROAD - Low prices and great customer service.

Edit: I'm only lifted 2 inches but Marie is very knowledgeable on lifts and equipment.
