Hi all, came from a Tundra that was totaled and looking for a Tacoma (either 2nd or 3rd gen) now. I know there are lots of threads on this topic but I keep finding conflicting information. From those of you that actually have a 4 inch bds lift and have tried 17x9 wheels, did they fit? I know BDS says no. Im looking at a 4 inch bds, 17x9 -12 offset, and 305/65R17 tires. All I want to know is whether they will fit with the lift knuckle or not. From what I've seen there are a couple guys running them but I want to make sure before I decide once I get a Tacoma. Thanks for your time!

Skip the bds kit and think about a good set of coilovers and a full leaf pack. You will thank yourself later

So I see that the RCD lift comes with longer Bilstein coilovers instead of the spacer in the BDS. It's also more expensive. Also I would probably swap the blocks for an AAL if I got this kit. Any preferences between the two for those of you who have used them? It also looks like you can use a 17 inch wheel with that one too which is nice. I would go with C/Os but I want a bit more than 3 inches of lift and don't want CV or diff problems which the DB seems to take care of.

Are you looking at 2wd or 4w4? If 2wd . Look a lift spindles and Dakar leaf springs, Bilsteins

Drop bracket lifts bend. Lift with coilovers, cut, trim, BFH, CMC, 35s. You will love it.

I'm going 4wd. What's BFH stand for? Big Fat Hammer for a pinch weld or something?

I'm running 17x9 with my RCD if that helps. The kit is 5" front and 4" rear. It comes with front shocks, not coilovers. They used to have a Fox Shock upgrade available, but when I inquired about it a year ago, they said it's not longer an option.

You know, after some more research, I think I'm going to stick with 3" and under. I don't want to lose so much power going with the 305s. Also the DB lifts are pretty much permanent, so I would hate to get that and regret it. Thanks for the help guys!
