    Thanks for sharing your story.

I recently had my Sport in for 10K mile ToyotaCare and specifically asked the Allen bolts on the hatch not be over-torqued. I inspected it after service was done and it was put in place correctly.

I had to clean/wipe oil around the inside portion of the hole in the TRD Skid but it was minimal. I'll be installing the Fumoto valve once I start doing my own oil changes on Dover AFB Auto Hobby Shop. I also have the OEM filter housing cap & plug to use in place of the OEM plastic one.

I'll be updating my Tacoma Sport thread with pics and narrative.

    None.
Finally got around to checking my oil after having it changed at the dealer. Reads about an inch over the full mark....Doing my own oil changes from now on.

How do you check for proper torque? Do you back-off each lug nut and re-torque? If not, if it is over-torqued all your wrench will say is that it isn’t under-torqued.

Based on the number of threads around here of folks draining their transmissions rather than their oil pan, your thread title is inaccurate.......

Did you look behind the chain restaurant you last ate at?

All I'm checking for is loose lug nuts. That's why anytime you rotate the tires you always re check the torque after a decent drive or so... Some will say 50-100 miles.

Same experience here with my "free" oil change at my local dealership (Southern California). The lube monkey cross-threaded the bolts on the skid plate and also didn't replace the small O-ring on the filter drain. I spoke with the service manager but they just don't care.
