    Amen to that.

The fact the truck is tall dictates that no matter how efficient the engine is, it'll never acheieve fantastic mpg. People need to stop acting like little bitches and complaining like homos about MPG when they realize that they bought a truck and it doesn't get better then 30 mpg. If you don't like it, trade it in and get a sedan.

The Tacoma has plenty of power for it's size, whether you have a 2.7 or 4.0. It is NOT a sportscar & it's not a full size truck meant for towing large amounts of weight. It's really simple as that, I am happy with my 4.0 & it does what I need it to do, get me around & tow things (within reason) when I need it to. I love my Tacoma as much as the next guy, but it DOES what it's suppose to DO, nothing more. If you want bigger & stronger, go buy it.

(V6 DCSB) I flip flop on the issue. When I was driving through mountain passes with a shell, gear, and a dirt bike (so maybe 1000lbs) I started wishing for more power, because even in 4th gear it was struggling. But that's really just what happens at 10,000ft. When I'm driving around town or at lower elevation, it feels fine. Has a pretty respectable amount of pep in 3rd gear, just as much or more as every other set of 4 wheels I've owned- aside from the S2000 and the supercharged MR2.

So, I'd say adequate. It isn't a hot rod, and it isn't made to tow 10,000lbs of trailer. Use it for what it was made for, and you've got enough power to get the job done, even if it may not be thrilling.

Stonewall is the fattest 5 lug slug ever
My Yoto is perfect for me. Yeah I wish it had a little more power, but hey, I picked a little 4-banger because it would be good on gas but still be able to haul stuff. Stonewall can get it when he's coming off the line though, for a little truck. :D
