Beach camping with a RTT

Hey everybody. I’m in Arizona, but frequent Cali. I want to find a beach that I can set up my truck and RTT and see the shore and sunset from my tent. I’ll go anywhere from SD up to Bakersfield. I would rather avoid paid campgrounds just because I’m looking to get away from everyone and everything. Savvy?

Any suggestions feel free to share here or pm me if you don’t want to share your spot with everyone. Info or resources on campfires is welcome too.

 

pismo beach is a good spot. but depending on the time of year, cause you do get a good crowd of people at times due to the dunes. you may get those good crowds of dirt bikers and buggies. but it may be a little further than you stated you'd like to go
