Does anyone check the grease in their replacement front wheel bearing prior to installing?

I buy the whole assembly. So I can’t check it.
If you buy from a reputable manufacturer, you shouldn’t have to check it.

It's sealed, do not grease it.

Well, here’s the thing. Oem parts Can be taken apart. Also, “The Car care nut video” showed how to assemble the bearing assembly. They are not sealed. Also, the SKF bearing same way. Also, both have a white lithium grease on bearings. The only thing holding the bearings in the housing is the grease stickiness. When I had the SKF assembly in hand, resistance to turning was so much that I told the counter man it acted like it was installed at one time, but returned and put back in box. The Oem rotated just fine. Still, that little voice in head says…clean and repack with wheel bearing grease. I’ve never seen anyone address this before. Hey, thanks for y’all’s input. And, I’m beginning to think the machinest who pressed in rear bearings when I replaced the rear diff didn’t. Guess I should have asked for old bearings. But…this original post is about the front ones. And yes, I did the pressing on the Oem fronts. No problems. But…still have hum on drivers side, and turning head to left, I think I hear the hum from the back…oh, twenty year mechanic, I are, lol.

Tapered roller bearings that are pressed on, will always roll differently until they are installed and have the axle nut torqued.

They are supposed to be under pressure from the axle nut.,

If you grease it, the grease will heat, expand, and push out, possibly pushing out the abs ring.

It's sealed, no one greases it.

Bishop84, ok,I can agree with that. I did not repack the bearing assembly, used as is. Just had my curiosity aroused.
