1st gens you have to use close to a 50 ton press to push the bearing out. 2nd gens are a lot easier. I had to take my hub and have the bearing pressed out at a local machine shop. A lot more involved w/ 1st gens. I think @BamaToy1997 sells the whole assembly done for 2nd gens that makes the job so much easier. I think all you have to do is bolt it up after you take the old hub assembly off. No luck for the 1st gens though. I checked w/ him before I replaced my front wheel bearings. I'm not sure if the bearings are different on a Prerunner compared to a 4x4 though.

1st Gen Tacoma trucks are a bit more of a challenge. A 20 ton press will do the job though with the proper adapter plates. That being said, 2004 is a transition year with the 2WD trucks. Is your Tacoma a base 2wd, or is it a Prerunner?
