No rubbing for my use. The liners are flat surfaced vs the stock’s ridges, so it does provide a touch better clearance. I also trimmed the bottom corners of the flares, good alignment with high caster to aid

Sweet lol! The only off-roading I do and enjoy are dirt roads/fields and sand, so full articulation isn’t a norm for me but I have bottomed out on harsh dips at moderate speeds which I did end up rubbing my flares due to the compression. Nothing to cry about though

Gonna go slice and beat the pinchweld outwards tomorrow.
Got some black rubberized Rustolem for afterwards.
I'll heat gun the fender liners while I'm at it.
Hopefully after that and an agressive CMC I should be close to good for my 35/11.5/17 Toyo AT3s.
I expect to have to do a little front fender cutting with my Jigsaw.
What type of blade for the jigsaw do you guys recommend?

Has anyone done this mod without removing the front wheels?

Just take off the 6 lugs! Its gonna be quicker to removeit, whackit and reduggait, with the extra space! I couldn't imagine trying to swing a hammer with the tire still on.

I'm sure someone has, but I'm a fat ass so I need rooooom!

Haha I don’t have all the tools needed to remove the wheels.

I'd be more concerned with acquiring the proper items to replace a wheel/tire than beating a pinch weld! But you do you! :fistbump:

Your truck comes with those tools from factory. Only thing you’ll need is a torque wrench

My guess is aftermarket wheel locks or splines he doesn't have a key for.... Could be wrong, could just be a basic socket, but no one would post that if they had a basic socket and not fancy lugs!!! Right?

I don’t have a jack or torque wrench. I know the truck comes with an emergency jack. I was just wondering if anyone has done this without removing the front wheels.

If the front wheels need to be removed I’ll run down to harbor freight.

    We’ll find out lol
Stock wheels? Original owner? There should be a bottle jack too under the rear seats(for 2nd Gen anyway). I tried doing this mod without removing my wheels and they certainly get in the way. I was getting frustrated just removing that part of the wheel well liner. You can try if you want, that’s the only way you’ll find out. Turn the steering wheel to full lock on one side and see if it gives you enough room

Well, that was an easy mod. The most time consuming part was saving the clips (all but 1, but fuck that one...it had it coming). I think the BMC is inevitable but for now I have solved my rub issue:spy:. Minor trimming here and there and no rub where i used to:taco:, but still pretty close to the body mount.

You can get away from doing the BMC as long as you have an adjustable Caster UCA like the SPC and stay in the 33" tire size. Maxed out you get around +4 Caster and will stay out of the body mount. My cam tabs are bent and I now have +5 Caster because Firestone's incompetent. Before that they reset my caster and I ended up in the Body mount and I ended up chopping it before I realized their mistake. Doesn't help though I also have 0 offset 9 wide wheels with 1.25" Spacers which threw me back a bit at lock. But if you really want to avoid it, even though its an easy 2 hour project with a good welder, death wheel, and some scrap metal, grab some Caster adjustable UCAs.

I just recently installed new JBA UCA's. I love em, but no Caster Adjustment (I had little to no rubbing with my stock UCA's). At the same time I upgraded my springs and went from the top setting on my Bilstein 5100's to the second from bottom (thats when the rub began). For now I think I'm good with the elimination of the rub, but once it is time for new tires I think it'll be BMC time as well.

BAMF has the plates pre-cut for like a $20 bill IIRC, or just find some scrap metal for filler. I ended up only using one BAMF plate and then had to make the other out of scrap because I got a little ham and cheese with the death wheel and cut off more than the plate covered.

I’m interested in these liners, how do they fit? Do you have any pictures?
