    Oh I don’t rub on my fenders at all. Just the firewall. I even removed the coilover and stuffed the tire and still rub a little off-road.

    How close I was to the pinch weld at full stuff and lock. I guess airing down was enough to rub.

    I’ve had two Tacoma’s I’ve done this on now. Daily drove the old one in rainy FL and no issues. And I might as well dd my current one because I take so many trip. Already put 13k miles on it and have only owned it 11 months.

    I just used a 3 lb sledge in mine (the one in the pic). I wouldn’t have minded a bigger one, but I’m afraid I would have been less accurate and punched a hole in the firewall or something.

    No, but really no write up needed. Just pull the plastic back, and hammer away. I hammered outwards, and just worked my way up and down the pinch weld. The top is easy, but the bottom is a bitch. You really have to hit it hard. I used both hands and went full on baseball swing at that bitch.
