Will post better pics of work tommrow that was only half way done. Pinch weld is flat and seam sealed... I still need to prime and paint, but the weather is about to turn so I will have to wait till Monday. Once she is done I will post pics I also removed the front fender flares not sure if I want to put them back on or not.

 

I went tad bit nuts with the seam sealer, after seeing the pond pictures of other peoples Yotas I freaked out, I say better safe then sorry.. I have to thank everyone for there help and thanks wallyworld for letting me jack up my truck and beat her silly then seam seal in your parking lot

 

What'd you use to seal it up? I may do that anyways to help make my wheel wells look a little cleaner/smoother

 

First I used Rustliam to protect the metal about four coats, then I used a black paint and primer ontop of it that, followed by the rubber coating spray you see all the infomercials on. Next I used brushable seam sealer which I applied with a putty knife once it was smeared on I brushed over it with a thin oil paint style paint brush.

 

Opps almost forgot I used Ultra flex seam sealer

Back at wallyworld again, we have a 24hr break in the front so I hit her again with more seam sealer and touched up some areas I missed. Driver side paint is drying and passenger side I’m waiting for th seam sealer on to dry..

Great write up and pics. I wanted to avoid this by going skinny, but alas I must pull out the BFH and go to town. As far as sealing/rust prevention. Treat the metal with primer/paint first, or put down seam sealer first then paint? Thanks for the post and giving me the confidence to attempt this myself. How long for someone that has never disassembled body work. Should I get some liner screws before I even attempt this? The last question i have is the heat gun. I don't have one and never used one. Is there a temp I'm looking for it is it like a hair dryer and turn it on and shoot heat? Thanks for any responses. I just want to do it right the first time.
