I actually have one in my grubby little hands. Is there something specific you would like to know about the thing?

The largest cabin vehicle Toyota makes in the US is the Sienna. I wonder how much larger that condenser is to handle multiple zones?

No air flow in the bed of the truck. At freeway speed there is a vacuum created from the air flowing over the cab.

Dual unit Tacoma would be tits. So would the air conditioned seats out of a Lexus. Keep my balls chilled. Maybe that will be the next project. Bebop’s ball chilling seats

Maybe vacuum wasn't the right term, but there's not much airflow in the bed. You can see it in this episode of roadkill. They mount an engine in the bed of a mini truck and it overheats because there's no airflow.

So to run that extra evaporator it would make sense to need a larger condenser. I don't have a Tacoma anymore to compare, but I can try to take measurements later this week while I have my wife's Sienna apart for other maintenance.

As it turns out, to get to the condenser on the Sienna you have to remove the entire front bumper. I wasn't into taking it apart that far just to get an accurate measurement, so I just took enough off to get the tape measure close. It's approximately 28"W X 22"H X 1"D. For reference, the condenser on my F250 is about the same size as the Sienna, but maybe a touch deeper.

F250s blow ice cold. I did an evap core in the f250 diesel a while back and I had that thing at 39 degrees

Lol I know it sounds weird, but I'm serious. Put a few leaves in the bed of your truck right behind the cab and at freeway speed, the leaves will just kind of float around back there and most of them will stay in the bed. Why do you think when you drive around with shit in your bed it doesn't just fly out of there?

Look up the Venturi effect, essentially that is what happens when air flows over the cab of the truck

I don't have to put a few leaves in my bed, they fall out of the trees. But I don't drive on a freeway, coz there isn't one near me. A vacuum? More like an air flow swirl. ;) Absolutely there is no clean air flow in all the bed. Just like there is no vacuum created.

I know its not an actual vacuum, but no outside air makes its way into the bed. Its kind of just a stale air bubble isolated from the outside world :alien:

Not enough to flow through a condenser coil or any kind of radiator to cool it off anyway lol:thumbsup:
