I've thought the same thing... It's like when they painted the lines, someone was saying 'Can a Mini Cooper barely fit in this? Yes? OK, lets go with that'...

Never fails. At the grocery store, I park at the very last parking slot; at least 12 spaces away from the nearest occupied slot, and sure enough, someone will pull right up next to mine. Never fails.

    I did!

Quite a few dudes or gals park like that up here. I see it daily.

For the most part parking lots are pretty empty though.

I dunno if it’s me but I’m noticing more and more how stupid most ppl are. Like what’s happening? Even my neighbour mentioned that. He is a super cool guy.

I run a home maintenance business and deal with humans from start to finish of the job, and man most ppl are just out of it.

Even when I see ppl drive, it just amazes me that grown men and women drive like that on the roads.

Are meds that ppl are taking making them completely numb? Something definitely is happening after this scamdemic bullshit.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Good thing you don’t drive in Kelowna. After driving for 40 years in Vancouver, I thought I had seen a lot of bad drivers. Nope, Kelowna takes the prize and quite easily.

Here red lights and stop signs are just a mild suggestion. Every day I see a minimum of 20 cars blowing through 4 way stop signs at full speed. Same with red lights. No wonder we have about 5 of the top 15 crash intersections in all of BC.

It is all ages too. Young bucks and old turds, all the same here.

BTW, several weeks ago I almost walked right into a bull moose only 60 foot from me as I was hiking up this ridge. Lucky for me he spooked first and took off into the bush at the left there. Had 2 bear spray canisters on my belt but glad I did not have to use them. My father almost killed by a charging bull on one of our hunting trips, so I have a very healthy respect for them. He was almost killed another time by a charging grizzly sow with cubs, and a family friend was gored right through the stomach by a large mule deer buck. While on his back and an antler through his stomach he used his knife to stab it to death.

Hunting, hiking etc not without some risks but how can anyone not be drawn to wilderness!

Kelowna was super busy last time I was there 3 years ago, probably even busier now so I’m not surprised they drive like LM idiots now. I went to LM about a month ago to pick up rest of my stuff and it was disgusting. I don’t know how I commuted so much for so many years, crazy. I have zero patience for traffic after living in PG for 6 months.

Up here 99% of drivers actually do a full
Stop at 4ways, took me a bit to get used to it hah. I think in 5-10 years it’s gonna get much busier up here and I’ll see more and more morons. A lot of land being developed here. Malls, apt buildings and detached homes.

I never walked into a bull moose before but encountered 2 Mrs moose in last couple months, never seen one before. Big powerful creatures, I give them lots of space :)

That’s what makes being in the wild exciting. Our natural instincts are heightened, just like how it should be ;)

Has PG been smoky at all from the Fort Nelson or McMurray fires this spring?

My brother in Williams Lake. There everyone does the speed limit and not over, unless they are from out of town. Road shock for him leaving Williams lake for any bigger cities in BC. No lifted trucks either, cattle guys, miners, loggers etc with basic 4x4s for every day in the bush.

Nope has been nice and clear, just cloudy at the moment:
    IMG_5592.jpg
Had some nice rainy days last couple weeks, I’m really happy about that.

For the most part people do the speed limit here but what makes me laugh is when I see most folk gun in once the light turns green then slam on the brakes like 300 feet later at a red light. Blows my mind. I get stared at by some that go around me gunning it (and I’m in a slow lane) then I slowly roll up to them at the next right light haha.

Yeah a looooot of lifted trucks here with blacked out front windows, mostly diesels. But I do like seeing more “stockish” Tacomas here that actually get used VS Tacomas in LM that got like a ton of “overlanding” bullshit bolted on and not a speck of dirt.

Yeah I do get a kick out of all the dressed up trucks that parade around town here. I am too old to understand the reasoning. I only care for practicality. The Tacomas here not so bad as the dressed up full size trucks. A lot of Tacomas here are used off road.

Why anyone would want a big truck and use it daily like a car and never use it for its purpose just dumbfounds me. So many full sized trucks here with massive lifts and tires and never see a patch of dirt. Macho in the brain I guess.

We have also had a cooler start to Spring with more rain than last year. Lets hope that keeps up, we need a break from the record size yearly wildfires hitting BC. Fingers crossed we get rain like we did 2 years ago which was so good. A summer where you can actually go the woods and not have them all in flames.
