I ran across a pair of these 8 leaf Deaver j59's on hardline crawlers, new never used for $300 shipped to the house. My oem springs and AAL have not seemed to mesh well together since I bought the truck. The kid I bought it from must have not really wheeled it or his type of wheeling was not like mine. My question is just how sensitive are these springs to weight in the bed? I did contact Deaver but since I wasn't the original buyer I didn't want to 300 question him, what he did answer left me wondering if I need to just re-sell these and buy something different. I still use this tacoma as a truck ( haul mulch from time to time random lowes trips, canoe goes on top, camping hunting etc but no trailer pulling if anything of real weight) but it's main reason of purchase was to be wheeled and share some daily driver miles with my suburban. He said 300lbs in the bed would have it on the bump stops, but I also told him a high clearance bumper with swing out tire carrier was to be added soon (along with the bed bob). Iam not sure if he took a guess on the bumper and loaded tire carrier weight and threw out a guess of another 300 lbs would be over the edge or 300 extra pounds in the trucks factory form would max it out. I have searched and searched pretty heavy but nothing has come up with answers to the questions I have. I haven't even really found a before and after oem vs the Deaver 8 pack thread or in Google image. Thanks guys.

Never mind the question above. My killer deal turned out to be a bad deal. The springs discribed in his post and pictures were not the springs that ups delivered yesterday. These may be seven leaf deavers, and the seller seems to think it's my fault...

I am on my 3rd Deaver leaf pack in 4 months. Started as a 10 pack and now I'm up to s 12 pack kit. Springs are almost flat with no weight in the bed. I still plan on adding a Snugtop camper shell, roof rack and full size spare for a daily driver. No way this will hold up. Deaver even added 2 thicker leafs to this pack. I called and sent an email of the items that would be going on this tacoma after the leaf pack arrived. And still these springs are flat. Also, I need to raise the front ICON COILOVERS s little bit more just for some tire clearance. Not sure what to do now. This was suppose to be custom expedition style leaf that can take some weight and give me 2-3" of lift. I'm just not seeing it. Going to try a local aping shop in town and let the good ol boy fix it for me!
