My little hound dog thinks she's too good to ride in the bed now that she's living the plush life since she found me. :rofl:But she just lays in the back and only pops up when we stop somewhere, so there's really no reason to put her back there.

Yeah, I like the look of the Softopper more. Seems like it's stretched tighter, and has less ridges.

Yeah, they do. They like to ride beside trailers for some reason too. I'm out in the sticks 90% of the time, so it's not a huge problem, but on the highway people are dumb.

And see, I need UCA's too... lol. Going to check out the SPC group buy. I was going to go JBA, but I could be swayed depending on price. I guess I might as well accept the fact that my tax return is going to be spent before it hits the bank. :(

I just got a price from the group buy thread. I'm going to day this in the most sincere way possible... I hate you. :bananadead:

Totally unrelated note... @Dimestore55 - How you like your SPC uppers? Nice? No slipping out of alignment? That's my only concern. I guess I could always use a dab of blue loc-tite.

No complaints here. I haven't really pounded them off road yet but they seem really well constructed. I didn't want to deal with the bending of the inner fender to get the old ones out so I bought new upper bolts from Toyota dealer before I started for around $9.50 ea. and cut the old ones out with an angle grinder. I re-checked torque after 1k miles and they were still on spec.

Sweet... Cause I just bought a set. And so did a friend of mine who has a first gen who's not even on here.

BTW, we're both blaming you @buyobuyo

Well, I'm blaming you, and he's blaming me... so...

The upper ball joint gets torqued to 150 ft. lbs. so make sure you have a big enough wrench. Mine only went to 100 so I had to rent one from Auto zone.

Apparently a tornado went through Colonial Beach while I was out of town last night, and I can't get home now. I got to within a couple blocks of my house last night before I was stopped and told I couldn't go any further.

All the info I got from the officers I spoke to was that it hit between 2000 and 2100, there are downed power lines all over, and they don't think any houses were destroyed.

I left town at 1800 and got back to town just after midnight. I turned around and got the last room at the Dahlgren Quality Inn. I've been checking Dominion's outage map, and they have no estimate yet for when power will be restored. I also just got off the phone with CBPD dispatch, and roads are still closed to my house.

    Thanks @Fish12South and @Casper66

No pets to worry about. Gone too much to bother with pets.

Haven't been able to get to my house yet to see how it faired. Neighbor that dropped a tree on my truck has a couple of dead looking trees next to my house. Also, plenty of power lines along the road and the car is parked by the road.

Just material things to worry about. Been going about what I had planned to do today already, since roads were still closed this morning. It sounds like I might be able to get to my house now, but power outage map is still showing no power. I maybe tossing the contents of my fridge and a 100 lb or so of elk meat when I get home.

If elk meat is in the freezer leave it closed its going to be cool so it may be ok and if it thaws cook it. that's too precious to throw away. Did you get your sliders?

Agreed. If you need some coolers, water, and/or ice, let me know. I'm stuck at work for a little while longer (with a very inconsiderate/indecisive customer, and we closed at 12 ) but I can ride up there after I get out if you need anything.

Thanks again, fellas. I got back to the house and there's no damage to it or the car as far as I can tell.

I have a 150 qt cooler. However, I don't know if it would help moving from the freezer to it, since it's at room temperature. The top of the freezer were the basket hang is at 20 degrees. If I run back up to waldorf or over to Stafford, I could pick up some dry ice.

I was up in waldorf earlier but didn't think of it.

 I dropped them off at the house after I picked them up. They also need to be painted. They're bare steel.

On the plus side, I have power, so I think I'm in the clear for my freezer full of meat.

Morning Chris! All was good until I woke up to some drama filled text trying to start an argument. Just found out that you can actually write a text so long that it makes you start a new one. Given the lack of response I've gotten so far, I'm willing to bet I shut it down. :D

How's the shoulder? Feeling any better?
