I went with 5100's just on stock springs right now but will eventually upgrade them. I also went with headstrongs 3 leaf progressive and removed the overload.

Super happy with it, I appreciate you offering to let me use your garage. I'm just to impatient and couldn't wait

It was easy. I did the easy install method that I have seen posted on here where you don't use a spring compressor. Only part that gave me trouble was getting the LCA hooked back up to the ball joint on the driver side. Realized I am an idiot and I was overthinking the entire thing. Everything else was simple.

 

Does anyone know if vendors such as Headstrong Off-road do any Black Friday or Christmas discounts?

 

quite a few vendors do Black friday deals. Arguably one of their biggest deals next to memorial / labor day sales.

 

Okay cause I’m planning on getting some OME coils, top plate spacer, and diff drop and I’d like to save a little extra money.

 

I'm pretty sure @HeadStrong Off-Road doesn't do sales because their prices are rock bottom all the time.

 

okay guys, got something odd.

There is a piece of rubber on the inside bottom of the driver side (and probably passenger side). This piece is held on by apparently very fragile little red tabs. These tabs are shaped like very tiny 'T's, and slide into the weather stripping and then pop into a small hole in the door.

Anyone have about two or three spare tabs, or know what the is the official name of them? I am going to check Amazon, but figured I would ask here about them first.

Kinda bored right now, so I figured I’d give a little update of my life on this thread. I went to my first college tour at JMU on Thursday and really liked it. My brother is a 3rd year student there now. I think JMU is my first pick for college next year, but I’m also thinking of UVA.

Here’s also a little update on my truck plans. After a bunch of research, I think I have settled on buying some OME 881 coils and a 1/2” top spacer to go along with my current 5100s. I’m also planning on installing a diff drop (hopefully on my own, but I think I might get a local mechanic to deal with compressing the coils and such).

So, that’s a little something to read if you’re bored right now. I’m currently watching the UVA and Pitt football game.
