You guys just had a baby, right? Nothing else exists when that happens, so don't worry about this stuff, and trust me when I say - ENJOY this time.

Not sure about your not sure... I got a regear and locker installed a little while back, so you have to change all the gear oil after your first 500 miles (hence break in oil). Then, my truck is 6 years old with 70k miles on it so I finally got around to changing the antifreeze in the truck.

Hopefully this clears up the not sure???

 

BAMF sliders was one of my first mods. Had a local shop weld them on. Install guy guaranteed you could air lift the truck by them my only complaint was the weld on logo is hard to keep from rusting. Mine has about 7 layers of paint on it. You will like them!!

 

So far it's just me and my friend who lived down the street, so we're meeting up at my house. I'm thinking we'll be somewhere around Harrisonburg around 8:30-9:00 am. Planning on going up Union Springs, maybe run down to Switzer Lake, then back up to Flagpole, and head back down FR85 towards Reddish Knob. We cruise pretty slow up the trails, so it's going to be an ALL day kind of thing.

Not at all. Not sure what route you usually take, but we're down by King's Dominion, so I take 64. Takes a little over 2 hours to get to Harrisonburg from my house.

 

I'm just up in Fredericksburg. I'd probably head west to Culpeper, down Rt. 20 then west on 33. Timewise, MapQuest says about 2 hours for me too.

Where can we meet up in Harrisonburg?

There's a 7-11 right off 33 on the west side of Harrisonburg. We can gas up there and plan a route if you want.

I know my friend really wants to stop by Switzer Lake which is off 33. I've never gone up that way, only down. Union Springs is the "fun" way up, and my preferred route. However unless some of the brush has died off, pinstripes are gonna happen.

Either way, I'm planning on it being slow cruise and a full day.

 

What time? I'm used to getting up early so just say when.

 

I'm going to say meet there at 9:00. Me and my friend are planning to pull out of here by 6:30.

Yup. Don't make the mistake I did one time before and have to settle for saltines and potted meat because it was the only thing I could find in a friend's truck. It was awful.

 

What day are y'all doing this?

Edit: just went back a few pages and found out it's this Saturday. If I have the say free, I may come down.

 

I was planning on it but ofcourse those greedy pricks at the cookie factory I work have decided that we have to work yet another weekend. Gotta keep those fat kids fat. Thanks though.

 

Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here. We don't get to meet up very often, just like a real family, but I look forward to hearing from you guys and reading posts about what is going on. Hope you all have a fattening and safe holiday. More the merrier. Planning on meeting at 9 at the 7-11 at the address I posted above. I honestly don't have a set route, kind of just going with a "We'll just wing it" when we all show up. Me and my friend are planning on a full day, but if someone wants to bail out early, don't feel obligated to commit to the whole day.
