Would be great if you could. No pressure though. Just wanted to extend the invite. They will also have ResQ BBQ there that day. http://resq-bbq.com/

@Casper66 i finally put the Fabtech light bar. Looks awesome! I will snap some pictures tomorrow. Now I just need to get the lights wired up and the switch installed, get the rear brackets (again from @Casper66) and lights installed. Very small baby steps I guess.

    Built, not bought! :D

Here is a view of the light bar. Just one more change to personalize and make it mine.

The round ones on my post, page 248, post #4944.

These were on my Amazon wish list that my brother-in-law got me for Christmas. He is real big into off roading and part of Knox Off-road down in Knoxville and has these and said they are really good for not a lot of money.

Finally got a chance to do my spray in bed liner and get my CB radio all wired up. Pretty impressed with the liner. It’s called Raptor liner and will only set you back about 100$ on Amazon. Comes with four cans (only used 1 and 1/2) a thinner and a spray gun for an air compressor. Bedliner took me maybe 2 hours to spray in with 2 coats, hardest part was taping everything else on my truck up. But for anyone looking to get rid of a plastic liner i highly recommend.

Looks good. Personally, I would have the liner go a little onto the side of the fenders, but that's just aesthetics.

I've heard good things about Raptor Liner. If I do the prep work on my fiberglass myself, I may give it a try.

I debated and debated bringing it further over the sides but ended up just going far enough to cover where my plastic liner had rubbed the paint off. But raptor liner is the way to go. We’ve done the inside of our bronco half cab and the outside of our international scout in it plus my bed and a few other parts and it has never disappointed me or my father

Just dont use herculiner. the stuff is porous and lets water through. Then traps it in and lets stuff rust underneath.

Wow, didn't know that. If I every use my own, I'll be sure to do more research on these. Sounds like the Raptor liner is the way to go.

There may be some trick to getting it to work, but i couldnt find it. When rolled on, brushed on, it always had these tiny little holes in it. Had to look very very closely to see them. I herculined my avid avid steps when i got them, and ended up having to use a wire wheel on an angle grinder to scrape all that crap off. I ended up prepping them and line-xing instead. Much more expensive, but well worth it and about the same as what powder coating was quoted at.

This might be wrong, but I just want to vent.

I was texting with a guy down in Richmond a lot yesterday about buying his Magnaflow exhaust he listed for sale that he took off his truck prior to a deployment, and because his wife didn't like the sound. It would have been a really good deal, as he just wanted it out of his garage. He told me he didn't like how low the rearview mirror was, and I told him about checking out the mod to raise it up that he could find on this site (he's not a member), and then I also let him know about the new group down in Richmond that meets up for breakfast or lunch and whatever (he's not a member of that either). He was excited about the mirror mod, and told me he would check out the group. Then last night he decides to remove the sale listing and put the exhaust back on his truck, and he thanked me for all the information I gave him. I was pissed! :angrygirl: I mean I know it's still his and he can keep it or sell it, but why the hell list it for sale, and then back out of it and keep it?!?! He told me he would let me know if he decided to take it off again and decided to sell it, but at this point I'm not sure I would buy it just out of spite! I certainly wouldn't coordinate with someone a lot and then say, 'you know, never mind, I'm just going to keep my shit, but thanks for giving me a bunch of information that I can use'. :frusty:

Maybe he "man'ed up" and told her to go pound sand, it's his truck. Sorry you lost out on the exhaust. I'm sure one will turn up in the future, I snagged my trd for a decent price up in NOVA. At least he closed out the potential sale with you, I hate when you message someone and they leave you hanging.

If I remember right, I know of a few guys now who all bought similar exhausts to that from others that were used. They seemed to find out the hardway why the guy was selling to begin with as its generally loud enough to become a pain over time. I think this is a bullet dodged, but that's me.

This is true....I have reached out a few times for things and never heard back. I was surprised when he said he took it off because his wife didn't like it. My response would have been..... SO??
