I'll be outside chain sawing 2 trees apart. We pulled them down when I did the ground work for the shop but still have a good 6 ft stump and root ball laying there.

    Not Enough.
Hi everyone! Been lurking for a bit, and actually found this thread before it was born in the "other" thread. I've said to myself at least 10 times that I really need to sign up here and start posting instead of just hanging out, and I guess I finally found the 5 minutes to sit down and do it. So, here I am! Guess I should post the obligatory "about me" stuff, and of course some pics of the Taco, so here goes.

My name is Steven. Lived in Spotsylvania the first 30 years, finally bought my own house and moved to Caroline almost 3 years ago (that makes me 32, almost 33 for the math impaired). I work at Big Tex Trailer World, just south of Ashland. Before that I worked at Truckin' Thunder/Ashland Hitch for the better part of 12 years. So trailers and truck accessories are my game.

My grandfather owned a small body shop, and my dad is a lead painter at a high volume shop in Fredericksburg, and I worked at a PPG distributor (you paint guys might know who) for a couple years when I left Truckin' Thunder for a brief couple of years, after some management issues that didn't sit well with me.

So I'm no stranger to the paint game, although like I saw mentioned earlier in the thread, I wasn't "allowed" to pursue a career in auto refinishing. Honestly, I thank my dad for that all the time. It got my grandfather with liver/lung/brain cancer, and I'm terrified to think what my dad will go through when he gets older.

No kids, no wife, no girlfriend, but I do have me a good ol' dog named Maggie. I guess it's really her truck, let's be honest. She loves the truck, and she'll just lay in the back seat and ride for hours.

I'm big on fishing, not so much on hunting, although I'm not at all against it, so don't read that wrong. Just don't have the time or place to do it. Like to shoot guns, ride 4 wheelers, wheel the truck (within reason), hang out, play with fire, work on things, look at women, be a dude, say inappropriate things at just the right time, all the usual man stuff.

And as some of you have figured out from the user name, I'm an OBX rat, and hopefully plan on retiring there one day. Preferably Hatteras Island. If there's any island left to retire to.

Anyway, I guess that's enough rambling. This isn't a dating site, and I'm sure most of you are too ugly for me anyway. I do have standards, you know. Here's the truck, I know that's what everyone is waiting for.

    The beginning:
    11138527_10206408246555137_6747282555201_7ce3fd4c5b9df31676e5ce0d3a13039c822eaa23.jpg

    Stage 1:

    Something happened...

So I got it back from the shop like this, and did a thing...
    IMG_20160819_073546_01_zpssqo2hdjp_2f5ab0218eadf1b1a71993fae40a44a81cb52ccb.jpg

And now, unfortunately, a hail storm happened last week, so now it's currently awaiting repairs...

Hopefully I can end up with a scoop hood, and mayyyybe a little extra in the pocket for something else. Already have black headlights and a paintable grille on the way, so the front end is going to get an update, and once a winch is in there, the front is done. Then on to the rear bumper and rock sliders.

Anyway, enough rambling, sorry for the autobiography, and hope to see you guys around!

Well first welcome! I'm new here too for the most part. But I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I know you.... Just one question. Are the initials to your nickname CD? Lol if not sorry. If so I'm Ben from Culpeper. Friends with Linzy. You're description sounds just like a guy I know if it's not you. Lol

Good man! Can't complain. Just living the dream. You are right. Small world for sure. Hey I need to hit you up about a trailer. I was just telling the wife I need a trailer for my bike. I'll hit you up on fb and see if you have something for me. :)
Nice dog! And I had no idea your truck looked like that now. I love it.

Well thanks man. Last time I saw you I was still rocking the slammed Silverado. Just picked this up a couple years ago. Went from grandpa style to mall crawler mode.

I can definitely get you set up with a trailer. Adam got his from me.

BTW, Gunslinger was my dad's CB handle back in the day when he was in a hunt club because he paints. Lol.

Welcome, I pass by your work at least twice a week. Have a customer just right down the road from you. One day I need to stop by and introduce myself, although I will be in a charger and not my truck.

And I will have you know I am very pretty, you stuck up bitch!

Well I'll be in Hatteras the last week of the month. My truck is a daily, so if it's not there, I'm not there. But I'm open to close every day, so it's always there.

P.S. I prefer brunettes, but always seem to end up with blondes. Lmao.

Cause my momma always said I was the most handsome boy ever made. Then again, she also said Santa and the Easter Bunny were real. Maybe my whole life has been a lie! Oh well... Keep on keeping on!
