I saw your rear shocks for sale, and now your rear leafs? Fronts next? What's going on? Should I just hoard my money and buy all your stuff?

I have been messing around in the NOVA thread, even though I’m outta RVA.

    Figured I’d check in here.

Since It’s friday and I’m trying to be lazy at work (don’t feel like searching. Haha).

What surrounding areas does this thread encompass. Just curious.

OP is absolutely correct but he asked so I attempted an answer based on where the participating members here live. I would love to see some organized mod days or something with good participation. We all seem to do our own work, however, which is admirable but curtails these other kinds of events. I am as guilty if not more so than anybody here of this. I just get excited and figure if I can do it why wait? There are a few of us who get together away from here like you and I do and I have done stuff for a couple of members in here. It’s fun! Just hanging out and piddling on these things but most of us just do our own thing for the most part. One member here and I do quite a bit together as far as working in trucks goes but even in this circumstance family health issues, both his and mine, still keep that to a minimum. The times you and I and he and I have spent both modding and camping have been thoroughly enjoyable and memories I value. Nothing like dragging a camper up a mountain in the rain with a valued friend to turn a mundane weekend into an adventure you’ll never forget.

Oh well enough of my long winded yapping why don’t some of you post mods you have planned or ones you’d just like to do! Ya never know some folks here may have the know how to do it or even have extra parts you could use.

Guilty as charged. I have several plans in the works at any given time and I usually get too them as time allows.
Example #1) the hood was off the truck for several months before I got around to cutting and painting it
Example #2) the Dakars I bought last year are still sitting in the garage
Example #3) we had the back bumper a few days and a warm sunny weekend made us install it "right now!"

I don't plan installs, or mod days. I make plans for a modification, gather what I need and it either gets done now or it sits for the right day to come up.

I suppose I'd have more friends if I invited people over to turn a wrench with.....
I'm really just a slacker when it comes to planning.. ..

    That was a GREAT weekend!

Well the hood came out incredible and yes DIY kudos to you for conquering that! I thought you did the Dakar’s already?

Believe me I’ll never complain about guys like us that do our own stuff. I guess my whole purpose in the statement was to perhaps encourage some guys to get something going and explain my guess as to why we’ve just never done any of these things for some of these “newer” members. Nothing says it can’t be done though.

Yep that weekend was epic! I am still trying to correct shortcomings we found! BTW bumper will be done in a couple weeks

Thanks! Coming from someone who paints is praise indeed!
Nah. They're waiting on the right weekend and my daughter's boyfriend wants to help, so that means I actually have to plan a weekend

I knew what you were saying, just spouting my reasons for not actually planning a mod day, get together or trail ride

We're still changing stuff on our trailer 7 years later!
    You'll love the bumper!
