its not terrible with the platform because youre able to lay diagonally. it is a very tight fit in there on the other hand.

I'm only 5'6" and slept in the bed of my truck on several occasions I felt more cramped in the bed than I do in my small tents. I ditched my cap and just do the ground tent thing. Will eventually get a little utility trailer to haul a RTT and parts/tools to the offroad parks but for just normal camping and exploring I am going quick pop up tent and gear in the bed.

Two years ago we went on a "fast and light" trip to north carolina Carolina at the solar eclipse. Beth (5' 10") and I (5' 8") slept in our 5 foot DCSB on an air mattress. Left the tailgate down and the cap door up. Covered the opening with mosquito netting. Fairly comfortable but my arm would bang into the hi lift when I rolled over.....

    Scenario and question:
The other day after driving home, the passenger roof rail rubber trim had flipped out and back into the bed of the truck. I flipped it back and pressed it onto the little tab on the front of the roof, and it 'appears' to be holding.

Is this a normal piece that wears out due to weather? Does this rubber trim piece actually stop water from coming into the roof? Should I replace this to ensure nothing leaks?

Are you talking about the moulding that goes in the rail where the OE roof rack bolts down? If so, I've never heard of it coming off unless someone takes it off. If it's held in by clips of some sort, it shouldn't come out unless the clips are failing/damaged. There should be a few stickers under that piece of trim that cover and seal the rivnuts that the factory rack screws into. I wouldn't trust them to keep water out in the longterm without that trim covering them. If it keeps coming out, I would think that a little RTV should be sufficent to keep them in there.

It has happened to me on both my old 1-Gen Tundra and the Taco.

See if you can snap it back in but as an extra precaution put down some 3M Automotive Grade double-sided foam tape first.

Saw this yesterday and thought it was odd. Do they add some kind of limitor to it? If I worked for them I would think “Challenge Accepted!” CAAAE2C1-875B-4A84-BEF7-982A3EEC093A.jpg

Probably not a limiter. A lot of companies put GPS trackers on there vehicles, and if the worker breaks whatever speed limits they have in place, the worker gets in trouble.

FINALLY!! I’ve been trying to coordinate with @Fish12South for a while now to get his old set of Bilstein 5100s for the front. This has become increasingly important once I got my new wheels because the wheels are wider and the driver side rubbed when turning the wheel hard to one side (like backing into my driveway). Today was finally the day! Got them installed, set at .85, and only had a few issues to figure out since my LCAs wouldn’t drop out of the way. :annoyed: Lifted my front end a few inches and more importantly NO RUB!

For sale 17x8.5 +25 offset method standards have rock rash not bent. Will need min. of .5" spacer to fit with 285s, skinnies may not need spacers. One is missing one of the fake bolts can get new ones from Method. You can also make some rash rings out of plastic, which I will be doing for the new wheels.
These wheels would be good for some wheelers so you don't mess up your nice ones. I beat the snot out of these and am surprised there are no bends or damage beyond just aesthetics. Some of the rash is some decent gouges and not just scuffs on the paint.

The company I work for had a third party come in and flash the computers on the (gas) trucks to top out at 75mph.. When I say they fall on their face at 75mph.... they damn sure do.

They have not messed with the diesels yet. Luckily, to which I drive.

    IT NEVER ENDS..........
Mine actually came off on the freeway the first week i bought the truck. Went right back in and got a new one for free. no issues since. The roof is sealed but im sure over time the bolt holes that have the little color matched cover would wear down. The molding helps prevent that if you dont run a roof rack. i removed both of mine and sealed holes very well when i added the prinsu rack.
